The Sevenoak EBH01 electronic time-lapse head is a lightweight, portable electronic device that offers a simple solution for adding panning motion to time-lapse shots. It is user-friendly, easily configurable and as well as time-lapse, it can also be used to capture smooth panning video.
The head is compatible with cameras weighing up to 1.5kg when used horizontally. It can also be used vertically with smaller cameras (up to 0.8kg). The user is able to set the pan to 15/30/45/60/90/180 or 360 degrees and also select the direction.
The SK-EBH01 is equipped with a ¼" screw thread on the top, for mounting your camera. A female ¼" screw hole at the bottom gives the user the ability to mount the head on any compatible tripod, slider or other device with this standard thread type. The head does not specifically need to be mounted to a tripod and can conveniently be used as a stand-alone panning solution.
The battery has a high capacity reaching 1200mAh, giving the user good operating times. It takes around 4 hours to return the device to full charge. The SK-EBH01 has a working time of just over 6 hours, and a very long standby time of more than 45 hours. The device can also be recharged using a mains to 12V DC adapter. Using a brushless electric motor, each panning motion is both smooth and visibly stepless but as with the majority of motorised platforms, it does generate some noise, which should be considered if you intend to capture audio.
The head comes with a solid hard case to protect the product from damage during transportation.
