This 160 LED light is perfect for mounting to your camera’s hot shoe. It is lightweight and compact, making it ideally suited for journalistic film making, and for times when the hassle of a full studio set up is not practical.
When used with the included mini stand, the light can also be used off camera, making a perfect “mini fill light” to complement an existing studio setting. If desired, the mini base can be attached to a standard ¼” tripod thread.
This particular model consists of 160 LEDs which produce a colour temperature of around 5600k (daylight). When the camera’s white balance is set under tungsten lights, the orange filter can also be added to bring the colour temperature to 3200k. The set also includes a soft diffusing filter.
The unit is dimmable with a side mounted knob, allowing varied light output throughout the range.
The aspect ratio of the LED light is 16:9, making it suited to video of the same ratio. The LEDs are cleverly laid out to avoid a hot spot in the centre of the frame, by using a mixture of beam angles. This makes the light more even across the illuminated area.

Note: Camera and batteries not included.
If required, multiple lights can be connected together to increase light output. A connector is supplied with each light.
The unit outputs approx. 10w of light when fully on. Due to the efficiency of LED lighting, this is equivalent to around 100w of tungsten light. This output is a hugely bright output for such a small battery powered device.
There is a choice of 2 options when it comes to powering the device. Firstly, 6xAA batteries (either standard 1.5v or 1.2v NiMH rechargeable). Secondly a Sony NP-F750 or equivalent battery can be used with the adaptor mounted on the rear of the light. We also stock this NP-F750 battery, which fits many other pieces photographic equipment such as monitors and other lights. The status of the battery can be monitored by pressing the battery status button for an LED readout.
Unpackaged weight: 325g (approx).
